Hollandia International and world-renowned furniture designer Karim Rashid have once again taken the interior design world by storm.

Created exclusively for Hollandia International, Karim Rashid’s Glow and Shell bed offer a modern, sophisticated look into the future of furniture design.

Thanks to its unique, shell-shaped headboard design, the Shell bed imparts a protective, cocoon-like feeling for the consumer lying inside the bed and offers a high-end glossy finish for elegant style.



Making others green with envy, the futuristic Glow is a compact, neon design featuring drawers for storage under the bed and in the headboard. Additionally, the bed is manufactured with an iPod docking station and cabinet doors that swing out to create side tables.



Last but not least, the Elite bed is truly the most luxurious and indulgent sleep system available. Hollandia International, which encourages their consumers to “have fun in bed,” designed the Elite with a state-of-the-art Sony Bravia® Theater System that contains a Retractable 32” Flat Panel HDTV, a DVD/CD Changer, Five Speaker Surround Sound System, Subwoofer and i-Pod Docking Station. Along with the plush comfort system and Vita Talalay Latex mattress, the Elite makes staying in bed a much easier choice.

Kenig Residence - Interior Design

Kenig Residence, interior design by Slade Architecture, located in Brooklyn, New York, USA.

The program of spaces was organized by floor. The basement was finished to become a casual family den-type room with a pool table and couches, etc. The ground floor level was opened up to become a loft-like living room and kitchen with an exterior wood deck floating outside, over the backyard. The second floor became the girls’ floor with bedrooms, a study, kid-lounge and bath. Bachelor retreat was the idea of the third and top floor, with a home office, bedroom and bath.

In the kitchen, the color palette is focused on black and silver. Countertops are Absolute Black granite with a laminate on upper cabinets and island that features an abstract aluminum pattern on a black background. Mid level cabinets and security doors are aluminum sheet, with a custom pattern of circles and ovals that creates an optical illusion that the sheet is bowed out when in fact it is entirely flat. The pattern was designed by Slade Architecture and water jet cut into the panel.
